If you’ve been following along you’ve probably heard us mention Sephora, once or twice. . . okay, maybe a bit more than that. Our love for Sephora extends beyond the rad customer service and their delivery of thousands of hair, make-up and beauty products, it actually originates with their accessibility.
We both grew up on a farm, so shopping was relegated to biannual trips to the mecca of Yorkton, Saskatchewan and perusing the Sears Catalogue, also Avon. Don’t get us wrong, we wouldn’t change this for a thing, in fact, we credit our laser-like focus when shopping to our twice a year excursions in our youth; ask anyone that’s ever seen us in action at the Forever 21 in Las Vegas. . .
Point being, no matter where you live, you have access to tens of thousands of beauty products at sephora.ca; what’s even more to love is their rad return policy. Make-up should be fun and with that in mind, you should feel free to be a little adventurous and give things a try. This doesn’t always work out – never fear, return the gently used item either online by printing a free shipping label, or in store. They’ll happily refund your money within a thirty day window or offer you an exchange, should it fall outside of that thirty day window. . . because it’s a girls prerogative to change her mind! Seriously – we’ve put this to the test, with a myriad of reasons for our dissatisfaction with the product, which include but are not limited to: “this blush made me look like a donkey” and “this shade of pink made me look like a lady who goes in public with curlers in her hair.” They get it.
Our Sephora Favorites:
Along with carrying thousands of brands in store and online, Sephora has its own brand that offers excellent quality at a stellar price point. In honour of providing women everywhere in the world with the products they need for that extra bit of pep in their step, we share with you our favorite Sephora staples.
Keyword: Sephora Ultra Shine Lip Gel starting at $16.00
4) - #30, Lady Luck, 5) -#24, Coral Confessions, 6) - #23, Pretty in Pinky
We live in Canada, so along with using lip gloss to make our kissers look supple and soft it also serves a functional purpose in keeping our lips moist. When you’re reapplying every half hour it’s nice know that each stroke of the brush isn’t costing you three dollars. Sephora brand lip glosses range from $7 - $16.00 and come in a wide variety of shades and deliver excellent coverage!
Keyword: Sephora Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara, Black $19.00
You’ve heard Libertee talk about her love for Voluminous Mascara, by L'oreal, but Lecina actually puts Sephora’s Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara. She loves it for its bristle brush, its volumizing and lengthening effects and it for its long-wear qualities – this stuff stays on through a whole work day, and the most gruelling of work outs.
Keyword: Sephora Colorful Shadow and Liner, Waterproof Edition $18.00
Plain and simple, we love this stuff. It’s perfect for creating the base of a smokey eye, or a simple line around your lookers. Its waterproof formula means its long-lasting and resistant to heat and humidity; read: it won’t bleed or run like some crayon-based liners can. Furthermore, this liner is the blackest of blacks and goes on smooth thanks to its wax-based formula.
Keyword: Sephora Collection Colorful Blush $19.00
1)-Oh my gosh! and 2)- Flirt It Up 3)- I’m shocked
We love Sephora blushes as they’re at a much lower price point and have an extremely saturated formula – meaning the color and shade is obvious, without requiring heavy application. Even if you have a stand-by favorite blush, we recommend giving the Sephora brand a shot when you’re thinking outside of the box and trying something new!
Keyword: Show Curl, Lash Curler for Deep Set Eyes $21.00
If you don’t have this in your make up bag. . .well, we can’t even. Curled eyelashes do wonders for accentuating your eyeline and doubling the impact of your mascara. We love the Sephora brand eyelash curlers as they supply various curlers based on your eye shape – how cool is that?! We’ve told you this before, but to maintain that curl all day, hold it under your hair blow dryer for about ten seconds, test on the back of your wrist, and if it isn’t too hot, get to curling!
